Lawrence from the time he was a schoolboy, interested in archaeology, until his death in 1935. Lawrence had many friends of diverse interest and background, and his correspondence with them is complex and revealing. He was one of the very great letter writers and almost all his correspondent was put into the hands of the editor of this book David Garnett. Included are letters to Lloyd George, Bernard Shaw, Lady Astor, E.M. Forster, Noel Coward, Yeats, and Churchill.
